Summer is nearly here, and Fort Lauderdale has come alive. If you’re looking for easy, fun ways to break out of your routine this May, don’t worry: the team over here at Porsche West Broward has you covered.

Whether you’re interested in attending the Great American Beach Party, having fun with your kids or grandkids at Kidzfest, or checking out an incredible boat tour, you’re sure to find an event that speaks to you.

Great American Beach Party

Honestly, the name doesn’t lie. Every year, Fort Lauderdale puts on the Great American Beach Party at Fort Lauderdale Beach, and every year, attendees have a blast with locally-made art, live music, sand, and sun. The party takes place at A1A and Las Olas Boulevard on Saturday, May 26th from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Compete in the sandcastle contest, admire the classic cars on display, and bring the kids by the Family Fun Zone for face-painting, hula-hoop contests, and more. At 2:30, the party will slow for a military tribute in honor of members of the armed forces.

If this event sounds like something you would love to be a part of, find out more here.

Memorial Day Weekend Kidzfest

Maybe a beach party isn’t exactly your style (or your kids’). If that’s the case, then bring them by the Memorial Day Weekend Kidzfest! This fun, family-friendly event takes place on May 26th through May 28th, 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at Flamingo Gardens. The signature exhibit on display is “Fables and Fairytales” a Borowski Art Glass exhibit with over seventy fairy-tale-inspired sculptures and pieces. Kids can also enjoy a bounce house, handicrafts, and guided educational tours.

If a little bit of peace, quiet, and fairy tales sounds like your idea of a good time, then head on over. Details are here.

Eco Boat Tour

If you want to help save the environment, why not take a lesson from an expert? That’s what you’ll get if you take the Blue Discovery Eco Boat Tour, a two-hour boat tour on the New River and Intracoastal Waterway featuring photographer and marine biologist Paola Espitia. On the tour, you and your family will learn more about coral reefs, the threat of a rising sea level, and marine life. Starting from the Riverwalk at Riverfront Plaza, the tour will cruise through the Intracoastal Waterway and through the mangrove forests, among other places. This tour is a great way to reconnect with nature and spend some time outdoors.

With summer ahead, it feels good to soak up all the sunshine you can. The Porsche West Broward team wishes you all a fun and safe Memorial Day weekend.
